Karl was born in a prestigious military family and dreamed of becoming a great commander. He trained har, joined the army and showed great potential. He took down his first dragon at nineteen and became a sergeant at twenty-four. One year later, Karl was chosen to join the expedition to explore the new continent under the commander Gartas. There, they had many successes for years and got deeper and deeper into the jungle. However, one day, Karl noticed strange phenomena but Gartas ignored his concerns and they were attacked by a shadow dragon, losing many soldiers and Gartas himself. Once at the camp, Karl ordered everyone to take the sea and they barely escaped an attack of numerous gigantic dragons. He was promoted to commander and organized a new expedition to protect the empire from the dragons. It’s around a decade later that the new expedition set sail.

Karl is a great leader who is passionate by warfare and magical creatures, he can stay calm in all situation and take quick decision and adapt his strategy as needed. He likes studying and is very observant. As an open-minded and trustworthy commander, he listen to his underling and take care of them. He dosen't care about his honor as long as the missions are successful with the minimum casualities. He knows a lot about magical creatures, especially about dragons and is extremely cautious of them.
