Gods

Gods are entities made of divine energy with abilities that can defy the rules of worlds. They slowly evolves over time and develops an ability related to their will. Their origin is unknown and the birth of new gods is extremely rare. They aren't necessarily strong, but their power can destroy the balance of a world and are not bind the the law of worlds.

We can say that Gods are entity who wield conceptual magic that bend reality to their will. Moreover, the power they awaken is relative to the environment they grew in and their intent to take part in it in some way.

Due to some gods playing with humans while giving them magic power, one human ended up receiving the strength to kill the gods. He was burning with anger and his only goal was the extermination of the gods and almost completed his task. He only let alive the few gods who sided with the humans before disappearing in the Void.

Since the deicide twenty thousand years ago, there are only a few gods living in hiding. The birth of new gods is extremely rare and it take time for them to develop their ability and consciousness.

There exist a type of crystal that can store divine energy. Those crystals are mostly found in Divina as well as in very small amount in other worlds. They are transparent with space-like moving dust in them and their color can change depending of the nature of the energy they store. Those crystals can be used in technology to allow anyone to use divine energy, making items that can defie the law of reality. However, divine energy being extremely rare, those crystals can't be used at will and need time to restock divine energy.

Most gods are bodyless consciousness that observe and modify reality while not being perceived by it. However, they can indirectly exist in the world either through their power or through receiving a body. Some Gods get a body as part of their awakening, others have to find an alternative way. The divine trees that can be found in Divina have the hability to create a body that can be summonned and controlled by a God's consciousness.

As stated previously, Gods can be trapped in divine crystals, the same way souls can be trapped in soul stones. Combined with the appropriate technology, it can be used to seal a god and use its energy. However, only trapping a god don't prevent it from using its power, some additionnal technology needs to be applied and well maintened to safely sceal a God.

Void may be the only energy that counterbalance the gods as it is able to dissolve divine energy. This make it difficult for Gods to travel to different worlds without developping specified power or technology. World energy, portal or teleportation are some of the options.
