The level of technology is that of a post-medieval era where magic-technology became common for a few decades only but has a very fast development due to the great intelect of the empire's scientists.

Most of the relics are from the age of Gods and found in ruins. It is rare to find one that is still working and even rare to find one with godly utilities. Some simply make light like others can improve the mood of someone. Everything is possible. One of the most prized relics is the fusion relic, used to try to improve humanity. Epotykias as well as biodroid were created using this relic.

In recent years, it is proven possible to create relics by human hand, but the process is still far from being easy to do and a complete laboratory is specialized to make it possible in the near future.

The mana battery was invented in 988 and is the base of all future science based on magic technology. It is made of a sturdy cylinder containing a specific liquid that absorbs mana. Both sides of the cylinder are linked by a dragon vein and a mana crystal forms on it. The battery is loaded then most of the liquid is crystalized. Dragon hearth can also be used as a powerful mana generator, but they are too big to be used on mobile infantry and are mostly used in factories or large vehicles.

Those batteries were firstly used by the military but rapidly added in the daily life of anybody. Lamps, communication, tools, vehicles and a lot more benefit from this technology that is way more prevalent than electricity. It is not only energy, it is a force that can defy the laws of physics if combined with relics from the age of gods.

To reload a battery, it is needed to put it in a place with a high density of mana. Special facilities were created on all known mana veins to reload those batteries. Additionally, to respond to the constant growth in need for energy, new way to concentrate mana were developed, like squeezing a lot of magical creature in a small space.

After the catastrophe while exploring the land of dragons, the necessity to improve military weaponry was strongly requested. Moreover, the constant conflicts with the Epotykias were more and more difficult. With the recent innovation, especially with the mana battery, it is now possible to create heavy armor covering completely the body. These armor are equipped with internal motors to support its own weight and give the wearer great strength. Moreover, by completely isolating the wearer from the exterior, it gave a great immunity to extreme weather and the majority of the gazes.

Depending on the purity of the magic battery used, the power of the armor greatly increases. But since the most pure batteries are rare and difficult to make, they are distributed relatively to the military rank of the wearer. Creating whose armors take time and a lot of resources in addition to be tailored to fit perfectly each and every one of their destined wearers for the best result. Due to that, only a small part of the human army is equipped with those armors and the fact to possess one of them is a dream for most of the young recruits which train with ardor.

This new invention greatly impacted military strategies. Where previously it needed a huge amount of soldiers for a victory with a lot of sacrifices, it is now possible to win with only a handful of armored soldiers with almost no casualties. A young soldier equipped with a low rank armor is as efficient as a hundred elites without armor.

After the failure with the epotykias, the humans didn't give up the idea of creating superior species. It's with the arrival of robotic and exo-armor that the idea of biodroid came. The humans used the fusion relic on robots and animals to create intelligent and obedient creatures made of metals.

This is in 946 that the first successful made biodroid was born. It was a dog on which a lot of analysis and tests have been made. This metallic dog has a higher intelligence than his flesh version and can even understand the human language. Moreover, its biometal body makes his growth slow down drastically and it only needs some mana to live. If it lacks mana, it simply falls into a deep sleep state, the time to recharge with the ambient mana. Concerning its food, it mostly need metal. Although it can eat metal plate it prefer consuming normal food, the bio component being converted as energy. The regeneration of biometal takes a long time, due to that, it takes years to heal a small wound. Lastly, its robotic part makes it relatively obedient to humans, the brain and the ai being merged into one.

After this first success, other biodroid are made and to avoid any issue like the epotykias, they can't reproduce. Moreover, the army is interested to add mana weapons that the biodroids can use naturally as part of their bodies.
